PS5 Launch and Price – Play Station 5, wow! Guess this is one of those few good things that happened this year. We’ve been long anticipating Sony’s PS5 release and to an extent, nobody really saw this year as the year to witness its release.
So here are the basic things you need to know about the PS5 including its very high price.
How Do the PS5 Looks?
Well, if you haven’t seen one on the web already, for starters it console looks like a tall curvy monitor colored black and white with blue lights on the edges. It has the normal controller design like any other game console but with some extra cool modifications.
DualSense PS5 Controller
Its DualSense wireless controller seems a little bit larger than the PS4’s. its controller is specially modified to give users the best gaming experience ever with features like haptic feedback, dynamic adaptive triggers, and an in-built microphone.
It’s basically a complete overhaul and update on the PS4 controller boldly and elegantly colored as its console.

The SSD (Solid State Drive) is one of the main points of improvement made on the PS5 from the PS4. This new storage device fastens how games load on the PS5 and also allows for game developers to create games freely without having to worry about space and game problems.
Hence games on PS5 will be more detailed and creative enhancing the gameplay and complexity of any game for PS5.
With the PS5 specs, Sony plans on evolving gameplay and taking it to a whole new level.
PS5 Digital Edition
PS5 also has a digital edition with which users can download or stream gaming service instead of the regular discs or game purchases we are used to. More like a disc-less version of the regular PS5.
Literally, with this edition, you’d just have to download or purchase your games online in file format. As good as that sounds it has some downside.
For instance, you won’t be able to exchange game discs with friends or trade them at gaming stores.
Games On the PS5
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Version.
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
- Horizon Forbidden West.
- Resident Evil 8: Village.
- Returnal.
- Gran Turismo.
- GTA 5 and so much more.
You’d just have to get it to find out.
PS5 Launch
The PS5 has already been announced and is available for pre-order on large retail stores such as Amazon. There might be issues ordering it because of the pandemic and lockdown.
Maybe it’s advisable to wait until its officially released and the pandemic effect on the world has been relaxed to an extent.
PS5 Price
If you search PS5’s price online, you’d get results of a $500-$600 price range. That sounds reasonable but it is a rather predicted price based on the launch prices of PS4 AND PS3.
Pre-Order Price Starts at $1,188 – $1,300.
This price should drop to an estimated $800 in about two-three months’ time. A little patience might just be what you need.
