To all podcasts fans around the world, Facebook is inviting you to its community to enjoy, discuss and share lovely moments using their new podcast feature. If you’ve previously used your Facebook page to link your followers or listeners of your podcast to another third-party podcast service, it’s time to put an end to that.
You can now add your podcasts directly to your Facebook page whereby people will be able to listen to every episode directly from Facebook. This feature is deemed to be released on the 22nd of June and here’s all you need to know about it.
Facebook Podcast Tool Review
“Facebook will be the place where people can enjoy, discuss and share the podcasts they love with each other”, Facebook reportedly said in its email sent to podcasts page owners. Podcasters can now link their show’s RSS feed up to Facebook which will then automatically generate News Feed posts for any episodes published from then onwards.
There are also speculations about a podcasts tab that is deemed to come upon the date of the feature’s launch. The feature also has a lot in store for listeners as it allows them to create one-minute-long clips out of podcasts which its creators have made clip enabled.
Although the feature would only be released to a few Facebook page owners, for now, you should know that accepting it means you’d have to agree to the company’s term of service. At first glance, the terms and conditions look fair however it doesn’t clearly explain Facebook’s right over podcaster’s work.
Facebook isn’t just a social media platform anymore. The company has made it an obligation to tap into all kinds of features to improve its customer service from online dating to marketing and now audio, there’s no limit to how much the company can achieve if they continue this way.
