Samsung continues to tease the public about its new devices that are about to be released. Why we’ve seen a lot of leaks on all other Samsung devices speculated to be released soon, we’ve not really seen much on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
The successor of the Samsung Galaxy fold has had its photo appear online and its photo flash is glorious. A leaked but blurry photo first appeared of the phone. The only way we were able to guess it was the Galaxy fold 2 was because it had its distinct fold look.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Leak
Sometime last week Samsung teased the public about the Galaxy Fold 2 on a tweet. The company tweeted “One fold, infinite possibilities, Unpacked on August 5 2020”.
The tweet had a media content, a video. This video was not really that of a phone or a Galaxy fold 2, it was more like a design showcasing what the Samsung Galaxy fold 2 looks like. From the video, we could conclude that Samsung Galaxy fold 2 will be a foldable phone.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Presumed Specs
The first Samsung Galaxy fold had a 7.3” inside display and had a front display of 4.3”. The Samsung Galaxy fold 2 appears to be bigger with a 7.5” inside display and a front display of 6.23”.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 might also be accompanied by an S Pen. Its 7.5” inside screen is made of Ultra-thin glass and has a 120Hz refresh rate.
Its rear camera will certainly see an upgrade from its predecessor. It would harness a triple module system featuring a 64MP main, one 12MP, and one 16MP.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Price
At release, its predecessor sold for a whopping sum of $2,200. With the excellent features, the Samsung Galaxy fold 2 presents, we should expect the price to be way higher.
But that’s not the case, in fact, it’s lower and for reasons, we can’t explain yet. The price range is reportedly $1,980 – $1,780.
This price reduction might be as a result of Samsung looking to increase sales volume. This might be a tough task to handle considering how well this year has been.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Release Date
Unfortunately, there are no reports or leaked news about the Samsung Galaxy fold 2 release date but there is something you could grasp on. Samsung is looking to announce this device along with 5 other of its highly anticipated device on its press event.
The date for its press event is slated for the 5th of August. Samsung will be announcing and launching its new lineup of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Fold 2.
